The Ashland Chamber Music Workshop is offered annually each summer at Southern Oregon University located in beautiful Ashland, Oregon. It offers to participants a week of intensive chamber music rehearsal, coaching, and performing. Instrumentation and personnel are varied as much as possible. Participants are given different musical assignments and groupings each day. Every group is coached daily and at the day's end presents a short (five minute) performance, sharing the music with others.

The coaching staff for the Ashland Chamber Music Workshop is comprised of friendly and dedicated musicians from throughout the United States who are extremely talented chamber music performers and experienced chamber music teachers. In addition to daily coaching of ensembles, the staff members make available a variety of special sessions such as practice methods, rehearsal preparation, how assignments are made, early music styles, and others.

Participants in the workshop have the evenings available for free-lancing, using personal music and that of the workshop's extensive library, or for enjoying the famous Oregon Shakespeare Festival productions, visiting local art galleries, shopping, or taking in numerous activities available in the spectacular setting of Ashland, Oregon.
