Beth Martin directs a lively strings studio in the Rogue Valley where she teaches students of all ages, beginning to advanced, how to play the violin and viola. Her many students take private lessons from her as well as participate in recital experiences and frequent ensemble performances. Beth's ensembles range from elementary age groups to string quartets comprised of Middle and High School students.
Beth's credentials include two Bachelor Degrees in Music (Arts and Education) and several years of teaching in the public school system. She is a frequent coach for the Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon and local high school and middle school orchestras. She has written and directed several musicals for local elementary and middle schools.
In addition to being a private teacher for many years, Beth has been an active local professional violinist. She is a long standing member of the Rogue Valley Symphony, a frequent member of the Rogue Opera, and has performed with numerous other area musical ensembles. She is an avid chamber music member and currently plays first violin for the Cantabile String Quartet. This quartet, and also her trio, are available for weddings, receptions, and other special events.
