![]() I have been playing, performing, and teaching guitar, 5-string banjo, and mandolin to adults since 1985. I graduated from the Musician's Institute in Los Angles in the early 1980s where I was privileged to study with guitar greats Howard Roberts, Robben Ford, Joe Pass, and Frank Gambale. Although I am no longer a full-time musician - I'm now a licensed psychologist specializing in neuropsychology - I am still enamored with music. My musical interests are broad so I play and teach many styles including jazz, blues, bluegrass, country, folk, Celtic, Klezmer and other types of 'ethnic' music.
Learning to play an instrument takes a desire to learn, consistency, practice, and patience. And having fun is an essential element - if you're not smiling a lot, something is missing! I offer weekly one-on-one half-hour or full-hour lessons in a comfortable instruction studio in Ashland, and I provide customized learning plans based on your individual musical interest, abilities, and goals. I can help you create a learning program that will work for you. |
