Crystal Reeves

Crystal Reeves moved to Oregon from the Napa Valley. While living in California, Crystal acted as one of the directors of the Napa Valley Women’s Chorus and served on the Board of Directors for the Women Making Music camps that occurred several times a year for about ten years. She also taught at music camps in Montana and Portland annually as well as serving quite often as Camp Instrumentalist at the renowned Puget Sound Guitar Workshop.

Crystal has taught mandolin and classical violin, as well as a variety of fiddle styles and improvisation techniques, since 1988, both in California and here in the Rogue Valley. She teaches out of two locations - her Ashland studio and also the Medford studio built behind her home in Medford. She performs bluegrass music with the local group Siskiyou Summit and, along with Pat O'Scannell, she performs Classical to Celtic music. With Glenn Freese, Crystal performs Country to Celtic music - original musical designs for weddings and other events. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival featured Crystal as a guest artist in the 2005 Summer Pleasures Concert Series, and in 2006, she did a Greenshow which was performed in front of the Merry Wives in the outdoor theater.
