Faina Podolnaya is a professional violin teacher in Ashland and has resided in the Rogue Valley since 1999. She brings with her a wealth of expertise and experience, as well as a charming personality. Faina was educated far away in Kazakhstan and the Ukraine. She has a Diploma in Music Studies from the Konotop Music School, a Bachelor's degree in Music and Teaching from the Karaganda College of Music, and a Master's degree in Music Teaching and Performance from the Kazakhstan State Conservatory. While in Kazakhstan, she was the leading violin teacher for Almaty State Conservatory and she was the head conductor for the ensemble of violinists "Haian Nabi".
Faina is the Associate Conductor of the Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon and teaches the Youth Strings. She is in high demand as a private violin teacher and many of Faina's students have won numerous prestigious awards.
