Jennifer Schloming

Jennifer Schloming is a well-known Rogue Valley pianist and piano teacher. If you are a local concert-goer, chances are you've seen her name on your programs because Jennifer is a frequent performer with the Jefferson Baroque Orchestra, the Rogue Valley Symphony, Rogue Opera, Rogue Valley Chorale, Siskiyou Singers, Second Street Musicians, and nearly all local classical venues. In addition to these groups, Jennifer has performed in two international concert tours, as well as with the Portland Opera, the Portland Baroque Orchestra, and the Oregon Symphony.

Jennifer enjoys teaching most of all, but put it off until her son was college bound. Now she is ready to teach and equally eager to work with beginners or advanced students of all ages. Jennifer's training in piano includes private lessons with Nellie Tholen of Lewis and Clark College, and Adolph Baller (accompanist for Yehudi Menuhin) of Stanford University. Jennifer holds degrees from Stanford University and Reed College in Human Biology and Music Medicine. She studied harpsichord at Scripps College and served as the professional vocal accompanist for Pomona College.
