![]() Recording artist and television personality Jon Galfano has been a Southern Oregon and Northern California favorite for years. Known for his excellent musicianship as well as for his many years of television weather broadcasting, Jon is keeping busy these days focused on his original piano and guitar music. With many CDs to his credit, Jon is continuing to make beautiful and interesting music. No stranger to the concert stage, Jon has been performing for audiences large and small since the age of twelve and the 1964 advent of the Beatles on the American music scene. As a rock guitarist and lead vocalist through the 1970's, the Wisconsin-based Galfano shared the arena stages with the top rock acts of the day, including the nationally known Styx, Foghat, the Grass Roots and Doctor Hook. In 1982 Galfano and his band mates in Madison, Wisconsin wrote and recorded the song "Brew Crew", a tribute to the World Series-bound Milwaukee Brewers baseball team. That record remained on the "Top Ten" music charts in Wisconsin for several weeks during the Brewers' run for the crown that year. Today Jon is focused on his solo grand piano works and his guitar works. His two latest solo piano albums, "GalfanoPiano" and "Pacific Point of View" have been well received for their rich and melodic solo piano performances. But with his guitar close at hand, Jon also continues to explore compositions blending his various guitars with his fine vocal style. Look for Jon's performances on stages and concert venues both here and across the country.
