The Larry Bernard Dance Band is a smaller version of Journey's End Jazz Band and specializes in performing dance music for events across the Rogue Valley. Larry Bernard, trombonist and leader, is a retired US Marine who began playing late in life, and who has been involved in the promotion of jazz and dance music in southern Oregon since 1985. His involvement began with the Southern Oregon Jazz Society when it was in its halcyon days in the 80's, serving as president and Music Director at various times. When Larry became a co-founder of the very successful annual Medford Jazz Jubilee in 1989, his band Journey's End became its house band and has appeared in the festival every year since. The Larry Bernard Dance Band is available for your events and celebrations and excels with dance music at its absolute best, from ballads to foxtrots, rhumba to the mambo and tango, slow and fast waltzes, and swing, swing, swing.
