Orchestra - Jazz Band - Choir

The Oregon East Symphony summer music camp is an annual program open to students grade one and higher. Beginning Choir and Chamber Choir are offered as well as Jazz Band, String Orchestra, and Symphony Orchestra.

WHO CAN ATTEND OES MUSIC CAMP?

Musicians of all ages and abilities!

Here are the ensembles offered:

String Orchestra for strings musicians who have played for less than four years.

Symphony Orchestra for advanced level string, winds, brass and percussion musicians who have played for at least four years or with recommendation of their private instructor. Music will be at or above the level of the current A Sharp Players.

Beginning Choir for singers who have completed grades 1-4.

Chamber Choir for singers who have completed grades 5 and up and have experience singing in an ensemble.

Jazz Band for brass, wind and percussion players who have played for at least two years.

WHAT WILL I DO THERE?

All musicians will be a part of a performing group. Plus . . .
  • You have your choice of a class in beginning music theory, composition, music history, or fiddling for non-fiddlers. All students will be a part of a small ensemble.
  • Lunch and snacks are included in your registration fee. The lunch break will also include opportunites for a class in musical theater, playing games, and just social time with the other musicians.
  • The final camp concert to show off the achievements of the week. Invite your friends and family!
