The Siskiyou Institute is a non-profit arts organization based in Ashland, Oregon. The primary goals of the Siskiyou Institute, founded in 2001, are to promote quality artistic events, provide educational opportunities for teachers, students and performers, and foster the growth of performing arts in southern Oregon. We accomplish these goals by providing a high quality venue in an intimate setting for performers of all artistic disciplines, by seeking grants and contributions, and by promoting workshops, symposiums, and institutes in appropriate venues. Our workshops feature noted music educators and performers that teach and lecture to regional music teachers and students on a variety of topics related to music education and performance. The majority of the Siskiyou Institute's events take place at the Old Siskiyou Barn which is a natural retreat located just ten miles from the center of Ashland, Oregon. Set in the foothills of the Siskiyou Mountains, the Barn has been around since 1890 and offers a tranquil gathering place. Details about concerts are available at: www.siskiyouinstitute.com. Concerts at the Old Siskiyou Barn frequently sell out quickly, and seating and parking are on a reservation-only basis.
