As a soloist, Pat has performed her own original songs plus the traditional music of Ireland and the British Isles since 1980. With a vocal range of three octaves, and lyrics that are introspective and speak of a journey not without struggle, Pat is a powerful singer and songwriter. Accompanying herself on the guitar, she carries the listener away with beautiful lyrical songs that are thoughtful and honest. O'Scannell often includes additional instruments into her performances such as recorders, whistles, viols and other exotic instruments, weaving a rich tapestry of haunting moments.
