Second Street Musicians

The Second Street Musicians provide Rogue Valley members an enjoyable opportunity to learn or refine the art of playing in an orchestra. Our program is especially designed for adults with a wide range of skill levels. We meet weekly in Ashland on Monday evenings and learn many types of music including Classical, Romantic, Baroque, and Modern as well as folk songs and show tunes. Performances for friends and families are given once or twice a year and participants pay a tuition fee for continuing instruction. The conductor of the Second Street Musicians for the 2007-2008 season is Dr. Scott Cole, concertmaster for the Rogue Valley Symphony.

Good friendships, as well as good music, are the hallmark features of the Second Street Musicians. Our framework is one of relaxation, enthusiasm and good humor. We encourage each other's learning and ensure that each person feels valued. We are always looking for musicians to join us! Potential new members are invited to participate in the first class of any month on a one-time free basis and then consider membership in one of the orchestras. We will be happy to provide you with more information, registration, schedule of rehearsal dates, and fee structure.
