Shula Morgan is a Rogue Valley resident that has personally composed and recorded over seventy five songs in a variety of areas such as rock, pop, blues, country, folk, classical, reggae and gospel. She has co-written dozens more and also enjoys making original arrangements of other music. Ms. Morgan is a founding member of the Southern Oregon Songwriters Association and served on the Board of Directors for three years. She helped to start the SOSA Music in the Park series, produce the first SOSA directory, and make video recordings at SOU. Shula, along with Franklin Jonez and Little Thom, hosted many open mic nights at the Mark Antony Hotel (now Lithia Springs Hotel), the Mystic Lake Niteclub, and also at the Café Electra where many new songwriters got their starts in performing. This community service was generally standing room only. Shula was raised by a musical family and began singing and playing piano on stage at the age of five. She has an Associate Arts Degree in Music from the American River College in Sacramento, California and while there studied music theory, piano, guitar, concert choir, jazz choir, music business and opera. Shula Morgan lives in Eagle Point where she performs with the Franklin Jonez Band and teaches piano, voice, guitar and songwriting. Please contact her at: |
