Siskiyou Singers

The Siskiyou Singers provide our community with a rare opportunity to see and hear more than a hundred people shine in a different way than they do in their everyday lives. Sporting the likes of some of our finest workers and retired people, the chorus bands together every Tuesday night to learn and study the great works of choral literature. Where else can you see a computer programmer sing a 16th Century motet or an Oregon lab technician sing a sacred work from France or a retired school teacher who never had a chance to learn a great work of Mozart?

It takes a community choir to make this happen. The result is the enrichment of each singer and, in turn, our audience and community. It is an extremely valuable and noble endeavor, one worthy of the utmost support of everyone. So come cheer us on as we offer some of the most beautiful and time-tested works of history, the true treasures of a society yearning to express its loftiest ideals through music.

Membership in Siskiyou Singers is by audition and is granted at the sole discretion of the music director. Auditions are held, the first day of every term, in Wesley Hall of the First United Methodist Church in Ashland, 175 N. Main at Laurel (across the street from Briscoe School).

Typically, Siskiyou Singers offers two different concert programs annually as well as several special event performances such as "The Feast of Will."
