Cellist Susan Flynn returned to Oregon in 2000, arriving in Ashland with little more than her cello, animals and the giggles.
Concluding a specialized career in education, Susan's goals were to dedicate herself to her instrument and seek the company of other musicians.
Currently, Susan plays in various chamber groups and is the cellist of the Caprice Ensemble Of Ashland.
Susan's background includes fine cello instructors, concerto, sonata and ensemble performances, a B.A. in Music Education and a M.S. in Special Education.
She has taught music and special education classes in both Oregon and California.
As a private instructor in her former locale, Susan organized and arranged cello ensembles for her students to perform in recital. Susan attracted many 'later in life' cellists and has recognized a particular interest in beginning and/or rusty adult students. Nurtured by her own life experiences, Susan is dedicated to help others in the quest to enhance their lives through musical expression.
